Well done neighbours!. Holland aint worthy being second of the world playing like this. Hardly any real chances to score, while their oppenents took every chance they got and scored! The German goals where quite neat even.

To say that the result was disappointing, would be an understatement.
All credits for the display of Germany. Firm favourites for the summer...

DerOeliPosted on 16-11-2011 09:17:09
The game was just an international friendly. Robben, van der Vaart and van Persie weren´t there...
I think Germany played very well, but the Netherlands can play much better. It´s still a long way to the titel. I would not be surprised if Holland or Spain (not Germany) triumphed in next summer.

Boehn1904Posted on 16-11-2011 11:04:53
Would say the Netherlands are still one of the tournament favourites in Summer. But to catch DerOelis thoughts, Germany also played without Schweinsteiger, Lahm and Gomez. These guys are normally starters to, so there was no big difference by using the player potential in both teams. I'm actually a fan of Dutch football and grew up with the stars of yesterday (Kluivert, Bergkamp, Davids...) but that was nothing.

FootballfransPosted on 16-11-2011 12:12:46
Well the comments are all very friendly but the reality is that Netherlands played crap football.

I believe it is realistic to say that Germany and Spain are the favourites, with some outsiders like Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, ... depending on the form of the tournament, luck of the day and the schedule.

Russia and Ukraine are a bit surprising in this list and I really would count the Netherlands to the 3 favorites. Look at the Spanish results, they had a bad week as well. All just relative...
