They had offers to build a new stadium outside of town, but Besiktas want to stay where they are now. Because of a palace nearby, heavy construction is not possible at the present ground -according to the authorities.

Been there last Tuesday and tickets were sold on matchday at the ticket office from 11 Euro (25 Lira). Great stadium in perfect location.

Not yet - it is the trabzonspor game on the weekend of 3rd/5th March - not sure they are on sale yet - emailed the club but had no response

Alex - sounds great but might be harder for me getting tickets with them playing trabzonspor

Sorry could not reply to you earlier, the tickets wont be on sale as yet, at least a week before the match, + we play against galatasaray a week before the trabzon game and that game is on 26/02/2012 so probably will go on sale after that game.

I am a member of the firm (Car$I) I am part of the London group. If you want keep in touch before the game I will try to arrange a ticket for you. btw the team is going through bad patch of results which may reflect on the stands soon..

The square is called ''Kazan'' it is few minutes walk from the Besiktas boat pier, also go to the bar/cafe of this square which is also next to the square also called the Kazan. see link for the location

you need to go there at least hour or two before the game to enjoy the atmosphere. another place which is more known with the firm Carsi is Besiktas Balikcilar carsisi.. its fish market where all the local lads of the firm hang out lots of fish restaurants its also great place to be..

Graeme, how are you mate.? How is the match plans coming along, I am sorry but I may have some bad news for you about the Besiktas-Trabzon game, as the fans did not behave well in last home game we may get a two match ban and therefore the next two games at home will be played without any supporters allowed to the game only woman and children(this is a new law in Turkey)

But I will update you if I have any further news.

Unfotunately, just got the news 1 match ban has been given so only woman and children under the age of 14 can watch the game. sorry mate but it comes as a shock to you I guess.
